Treatment at ICM

At the Institute, we offer treatments and courses, emphasizing the following TCM methods: acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Tui Na/An Mo massage, Qi Gong/ Tai Ji Quan and other traditional treatment methods of the Chinese-Japanese medical tradition. We also offer courses in other methods of healing, such as movement-based expressive arts therapy and relaxation.

The members of our ICM therapeutic team are all qualified and certified in their respective fields, for instance by the TCM-FVS (Swiss Association for TCM) and the Swiss Physiotherapy Association. Members of our team are fluent in one of more of the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.

Our practitioners are well oriented with the goals of the Hastings Report (Crigger, Bette-Jane, Ed., Cases in Bioethics: Selection from the Hastings Center Report, 1998), which emphasizes the following:

  • Prevention of disease, in addition to accidents and promotion of health
  • Alleviation and relief of pain and suffering
  • Support and heal patients with curable diseases, as well as assist and care for those with incurable diseases
  • Prevention of early death and aid the passing into a peaceful demise
Emergency or urgent treatments, depending on the severity of the medical indication, are possible. If further medical treatment/tests are required, our practitioners are committed to working with your doctor or with a doctor in the close vicinity of the Institute.

One of the goals of ICM is to promote the understanding of the healing arts, especially of Chinese medicine, and as well as to aid those in need of medical care.

For the advancement of Chinese Medicine in Switzerland, we offer students clinical internship possibilities at ICM. These interns are supported by our practitioners, who are certified clinical supervisors,
