Tui Na An Mo Massage
Tui Na or An Mo are Chinese massage and mobilization techniques. Tui Na literally translates as pushing and grasping, while An Mo is pressing and rubbing.
Though often used in treatment of injuries and muscular skeletal issues, this form of massage can also treat internal, as well as mental/ emotional imbalances, and is especially effective for treating babies and children. The philosophy, meridians and points are similar to that used in the other methods of Chinese Medicine. Sometimes oils, creams or herbal preparations are utilized in order to stimulate the healing process. Otherwise, patients are massage with clothes on. Tui Na can also be used together with the other TCM methods, such as acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion and Gua Sha.
